Name: Johnathan "Johnny" Joestar
Canon: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run
Canon Point: Partway through the battle with Valentine - chapter 84, when Gyro completes his final attack
Age: 19

History/Personality: Jojowiki! His history is in a separate tab at the top of the page.

Would you consider your character to be heroic? Why or why not?: Johnny is very much an anti-hero. I'd probably say he's not particularly heroic, even though he's the protagonist and a Joestar! While he generally opposes things like killing, lying, taking advantage of innocent people, etc., and generally "does the right thing," he is ultimately driven by his own interests and loyalties. He is not the type to sacrifice "for the greater good." In canon, he speaks about how he doesn't know if what he's doing is right or wrong, and, in fact, doesn't care; his conflict with the villain of the story is purely selfish rather than based on any moral opposition, and, at the end of his life, he undoes the "good deed" he accomplished (sealing away a powerful artifact) by unearthing and stealing it to use it to help his family, knowing very well that doing so would make others suffer. He is deeply and passionately loyal to the people he loves, and this dictates his actions more than any moral compass.

Powers/Abilities:

Johnny is a Stand user -- essentially, someone who can project his life force/will into an entity which has its own unique properties and abilities. The Stand is similar to a ghost, especially in the sense that it cannot be seen by most normal people. In canon, only other Stand users can see them, but I imagine anyone with supernatural sensitivity may be able to see them in RP.

Johnny's Stand is called Tusk. That link has all the information, but it's confusing, SO:

to put it simply, Johnny is able to harness the inherent power in perfect circles or spirals in nature (known as the Spin.) Tusk is an embodiment of Johnny's spirit, and a conduit for that power. Tusk allows Johnny to rotate his own nails using the Spin and fire them like projectiles. They are sharp, and move at a bullet-like velocity. Obviously, he only has 10 of these projectiles - 20 counting his toes, but because of his injury, he generally can't use them. His nails take a few minutes to regrow. The nails are able to home in on a target - even if the nail itself misses, the actual hole caused by the projectile will track Johnny's target for up to 8 seconds before disappearing if it doesn't find its target. Johnny can also use these holes on himself, as he is unaffected by his own ability. If he fires at his hand, for instance, he is able to absorb his hand into that hole and have it travel along with the hole for those 8 seconds, enabling him to fire from unusual angles or even reposition himself entirely. If he uses his nails in this manner, they take longer to regrow.

You can disregard everything under "Act 4" as Johnny almost certainly won't be using this ability... I don't want to use it bc it's busted and also confusing LMFAO

Other than that, Johnny has considerable upper body strength after being confined to a wheelchair. This is offset by... being confined to a wheelchair. You don't want to get punched by him, though.

He's also an extremely talented jockey, having won the Kentucky Derby at the tender age of 16; he has expert-level understanding of horses and riding, and becomes a professional instructor after the events of canon.

Inventory: A saddlebag containing his wheelchair (folded up), a small notebook and pen, and a scant few travel supplies, mostly used up (a small remainder of a bar of soap, some coins, a few odd utensils and a knife for butchering hunted animals.) Also, his horse, Slow Dancer! She's a regular horse. 11-year-old white and gray appaloosa.

Coterie: Vipers
